Peace and salaams to all.
SubhaanAllah, glory truly is for Allah. He works in ways we cannot even comprehend. But when we see our lives unfold before us, subhaanAllah we truly understand that whatever Allah SWA does is always for the best!
Having returned home from a wedding function where I met many people, relatives and friends I had not seen in a very long time, I sat to contemplate my conversations of the evening. One in particular made me appreciate the good in people and also taught me a few things about sabr, patience. As I was talking to this friend/cousin about our lives, I realised I was actually telling myself , reminding myself how Allah SWA works. It also reminded me I need to practice what I preached and also that whatever life befalls me, there is always someone in a worse off situation than myself. I truly believe we meet people in our lives for reasons only Allah SWA knows. Some friends come and go, some remain by your side till the end, but they were meant to meet you and you were meant to meet them. Allah SWA alone knows the reason why, but as time goes by, He may disclose the reason and you then appreciate His mercy upon you for introducing you to that person. Good friends help you through the most difficult of times, (Thank you Gazala), whilst also helping you celebrate the best of times.
S____m I pray Allah SWA guides your heart and soul towards complete contentment and happiness, and by the side of the one you love and miss. But most importantly I pray He guides you to a status of complete faith in Him and Him alone, to do the very best for you Insha-Allah! Aameen.
Till the next time
Peace and salaams to all

I hope you are well. I wanted to thank you again for volunteering for the charity event at Imperial College London. You helped make it a great success and I was wondering if you would be interesting in doing so again on Saturday November 6th 2011, 11am-4pm? The event is the 4th annual “Smoky not Smudgy”, which is part of a larger campaign called Charity Week. I am organising this event along with 4 other girls.
This event is a ladies’ only pampering day with make-up, hair, henna, nails and photography professionals offering their services for free on the day so that guests attending pay for what they want to have done and that all goes towards charity. As well as that, last year we introduced various stalls including clothing and crafts and a fashion show. You can join the SnS facebook group and 2010 event pages to see exactly what else we did:
http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=31449634612
http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=163199643704549
I was wondering if you were interested in setting up a stall in the souq area, it would cost 50 pounds and 100% of that would be going to charity, any profits you make from sales would be yours.
Please find attached a covering letter with detailed information on the event. It will be taking place at our South Kensington campus, maps and directions here:http://www3.imperial.ac.uk/campusinfo/southkensington
Of course you would be able to bring plenty of flyers, business cards, posters, etc to promote yourself. Of course, we will also include your name in our advertising.
Do let me know your thoughts, I look forward to hearing from you soon!
Regards,
Minaal Khan
